Renewables
Over the past 10 years we have been working on wind and solar power developments in Serbia, collaborating with international teams, helping developers achieve the compliance with international environmental standards and Serbian regulatory requirements.
The wind and solar power developers aimed to recieve financing from international lenders (IFC, EBRD). Together with other international and local specialists we helped them deliver Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs) in line with IFC Performance Standards and comply with particular environmental requirements from the lenders. We successfully managed and delivered national Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for wind power plants (WPP) and associated facilities, in compliance with Serbian law.
International Standards ESIA vs National EIA in Serbia
To properly address differences between ESIA and EIA, we suggest their development to be concurrent and integrated as much as possible. We provide full support to developers during the mandatory EIA process in Serbia until final consent is granted from the regulator. We consider ESIA and EIA to be part of the same effort and we help developers to address the gaps between the two, including support in communication with government stakeholders.
